Position Description:
| JOB DESCRIPTION : | To Manage company finance in line with Corporate Finance Objective, policy and guidelines. To provide active support in development of PLI, IT and Admin functions. |
| SUPERVISION | Direct supervision of All personnel in Finance Department including Accounts Assistants; Tally Clerks and Company Clerks. |
| Supervision includes direction, on-the-job training, monitoring performance, appraisal and performance assessment | |
| DIRECT RESPONSIBILITIES | |
| COSTING | |
| Costing systems | In cooperation with the Company Finance Function, set up, implement, maintain and improve the costing systems and in line with the specific contract requirements. Accounting codes: Ensure costs incurred are correctly allocated to Company Standard Accounting codes and Cost centers. Cost centers: Design and seek approval for contract specific cost codes, Implement cost center reporting within the Accounting System. Cost centers: Design and seek approval for contract specific PED cost centers by machine/Equipments; ensure all PED costs are allocated to individual machines/Equipments. Enable reporting of costs by machine/Equipment. |

| Coordination | Meet Financial Controller in a weekly basis to discuss company financial performance, identify and understand results by profit center. Recommend action to enhance financial and operational performance. |
| Monitor expenditure | Monitors expenditure against limits, budgets, forecast, approvals |
| Daily costing | Prepare daily ‘live’ costing, analyze and explain variances against budget and forecast |
| Weekly costing | |
| Monthly Financial Reporting | Compile a monthly financial report, highlighting profit center performance and performance against budget, forecast Variances and risks to be highlighted, explained, reported and understood by Chief Executive Officer and Financial Controller |
| Expenditure approval | Ensure appropriate pre-approval is obtained for expenditure in line with Company policy. Question unbudgeted / over-budget expenditure. Ensure CAPEX, property lease, external hire is referred for pre-approval. |
| Asset Register Monthly Update | Update the asset register monthly regarding hours worked by each machine, machine movements. |
| Reserve Account Controls | Responsible for the updating PED Component, Undercarriage and Tyre Reserve accounts. Check approvals, costing to machine/Equipments Prepare a monthly reconciliation and submit as part of the monthly financial report. |
| Company Monthly Cash Flow forecast | Prepare monthly Company cash flow forecasts |
| Contract Financial Forecasts | Prepare quarterly and annual financial forecasts in cooperation with Operations Management; submit to Financial Controller and Div |
