A three-judge bench is hearing a petition filed by Kethi Kilonzo challenging the electoral commission's decision to block her from contesting the Makueni Senate seat.
High Court judges Weldon Korir, Mumbi Ngugi and Richard Mwongo will hear and determine the application against the IEBC dispute resolution committee.
UGANDA:MPs defer Aronda’s approval yet again
Former army chief Aronda Nyakairima will have to wait a little longer before he knows his fate after the Parliament’s Appointments Committee again got divided over the matter, and deferred approval, promising to consult third party stakeholders, including Attorney General (AG) Peter Nyombi.
Due to the deeep divisions in the committee over whether Gen Nyakairima should stay in the army even as a minister or not, the lawmakers resolved to summon the AG, the Uganda Law Society, Shadow Attorney General Abdul Katuntu and other stakeholders to give their views on the General’s appointment, in what appears to be the exception to the regular order.

Two bombs landed in Rwanda's western district of Rubavu from a Congolese area controlled by the Congolese army, FARDC, and the UN Mission in that country, Monusco, the Rwandan government has said.
"Two bombs landed at Kageshi and Gasiza Cells, Busasamana Sector, Rubavu District, Western Rwanda at 3.05pm," Brig. Gen. Joseph Nzabamwita, Rwanda Defence Forces spokesperson, is quoted in a statement released by the Office of Government Spokesperson yesterday.

CREDIT ADMINISTRATOR- One 1 POSITION
Credit Administrator will be responsible of maintaining appropriate Credit Administration monitoring process of the various risk bearing profiles on Grade 1&2 for KCB Tanzania, so as to ensure all facilities are performing, to provide timely and accurate information on the overall quality of facilities, as well as to implement and ensure perfection of securities and loading of limits for accounts.
The major responsibilities of this position will be:-
- Provide with timely and accurate information on the overall quality of facilities
- Develop and implement Credit Administration reports.
- Prepare BOT prudential returns.
- Prepare monthly portfolio review.
- Prepare annual reviews of industry segments.
- Monitor periodically using such reports and credit risks throughout the branch network.
- Guide branches on action to take in management and maintenance of facilities and correct classification of accounts as per prudential guidelines.
- Monitor compliance with prescribed management policies and procedures as well as applicable statutory and prudential guidelines.
- Provide guidance on remedial action to be taken on weaknesses highlighted in the OD over limit, loans delinquent, daily refer list Bank limits and Audit reports.
- Monitor compliance with terms and conditions of approval for grade 1 &2 facilities.
- Implement and ensure perfection of securities and loading of limits for accounts in Grade 1 & 2.
- Coordinate sectoral and industrial positions in liaison with Marketing Unit to periodically review the various markets.
- Monitor staff facilities and control release of related securities.
- Change agent for Monitoring and control initiative.
The candidates should have Bachelor Degree of Business Studies; Post Graduate Studies will be an added advantage.
- Members At least (3) years experience in Banking Industry
- Should have knowledge of credit & non performing debts policies and other regulatory requirement e.g. BOT Prudential guideline
- Knowledge of securities documentation and legal remedies available to the bank.
