LTD, aleading Information and Communication Technology solutions provider,today islaunching an ICT educationprogram that will foster ICT development and ICT talent training inTanzania. Thisprogram will be in partnership with the government of Tanzania,and it will work with studentsstarting from primary to university level.
Speaking, The Huawei Tanzania Managing Director, Mr. Bruce Zhangsaid: The program will be known as “Huawei ICT Star program for Tanzania education”.It will support primary&secondary schools as well as universities,to develop ICT interests, which will contribute to the development of ICTindustry in Tanzania

For the primary and secondary schools, the program will contribute in improving the learning infrastructuresthat gives a better learning environment for the students in their earlier stage. And the program will raise ICT awareness among students as well.
For universities, we are going to set up “Huawei ICT Star” scholarship. After that, we will providespecific free packages of ICT training to excellent students in Huawei Africa Training centers. This program will provide ICT knowledge transfer and ICT talent trainings;make ICT students practice the latest ICT technologies. By doing this,we expect to enriching thebackbone of ICT talent in Tanzania ICT industry in long term basis.
“The Tanzania Development Vision of 2025 envisages a nation filled with well educated and learning society as well as a strong and competitive economy capable of producing sustainable growth and shared benefits. The “Huawei ICT Star” program for Tanzania education expect to bring innovative technologies and approaches that will triggerICT development in Tanzania.
